A Tragic Tail
Vibrant teals and turquoises fade into but a memory
As the deep blue ocean is awashed with dull saturation of black and white plastic
The songs of whales,
once a cacophony of harmonies,
Die into silence
Naught but the grief stricken cries of choking creatures rings out through the waves.
As the ripple of the sea,
ever ebbs and flows,
In and out
Will we too stand in silence
As the their cries ring forth
The magic we choose to turn or eyes from,
Withers and weeps
Will we let their songs fall in to silence
